An inner house

Words also build a life.

This is a place to think without haste. I keep here the questions that accompany me, the relationships that sustain me, the crafts I admire, and the ideas I am still learning how to express.

Medellín · the house remains open

Abstract composition of paper, ink, and lines suggesting an inner map
“I do not want to collect certainties. I would rather learn to ask better questions.”

Ten doors

The front page is only the vestibule.

Each door leads to an independent room. Some live within this house; others have found a threshold of their own without leaving the same map.

A door to intimacy

The personal is not on display. It is recognized.

Stories of family, home, lineage, and memory open through a short trivia about the things that matter in this house.

Three loyalties

A way of being in the world

Word

Languages as instruments of awareness.

Each language offers another architecture for thinking and feeling. Precision matters, as does the humility of knowing that no language exhausts the world.

Gaze

Journalism as an act of respect.

I honor those who observe rigorously, verify before asserting, and make storytelling a responsibility toward others rather than a shortcut to noise.

Character

Life as an unfinished workshop.

I admire people who refine themselves: those who accept the discomfort of correction without losing their center, curiosity, or ability to begin again.

The notebook

Notes in the margins of everyday life

Brief, still-open ideas. Some begin in the law; others in a conversation, a reading, or a question that refused to disappear.

01LanguageNaming things well

Words are not merely the wrapping of an idea. Sometimes they are the tool that allows us to discover it. Language asks us to look twice: first at what we believe we think, and then at what we truly manage to say.

Note in progress
02JournalismThe dignity of looking directly

I honor journalism that verifies, challenges, and makes complexity understandable. Not journalism that claims to have no point of view, but journalism that takes responsibility for it.

Note in progress
03CharacterThe craft of refinement

I admire displayed talent less than the quiet discipline of a person willing to correct themselves. Refinement is not erasure: it is removing what prevents a more honest self from appearing.

Note in progress
04IdeasBeyond protection

Intellectual property interests me when it stops being an end and becomes a question of business and society: what value we create, how we recognize it, and why we want to capture it.

Note in progress
05PoetryThe word before the argument

Some things can be ordered by legal language but not reached by it. Poetry preserves the territory where an image can say more than a conclusion. My own poems remain, for now, under lock and key.

Note in progress

Constellation

Things that return again and again

They are not closed categories. They are points that, from a certain distance, begin to draw the same conversation.

Languages

Each language opens a mental room and reveals another possible way of seeing.

Multiculturalism

Living among different codes without reducing difference to a curiosity.

Journalism

The craft of verifying, narrating, and asking the questions power would rather avoid.

Strategy

Understanding the board, but also the people who decide how to play it.

Friendship

Chosen loyalty, candid conversation, and the joy of recognizing oneself in others.

Teaching

Learning by explaining; developing judgment rather than repeating conclusions.

Innovation

Ideas that become capability, value, culture, and a shared future.

Law

A human architecture: imperfect, debatable, and capable of ordering conflict.

Chess

Bobby Fischer and José Raúl Capablanca: intensity and clarity before the same board.

The Tree

Root, ascent, and balance: an image that returns without accepting a single reading.

The country

Colombia as a task: science, technology, and humanism placed at the service of more people.

Open works

Questions I am working on

I prefer to call them works rather than products. None is finished; all of them transform me as they move forward.

I

The equation of litigation

An exploration of procedural rules as variables, relationships, and limits. Can a judgment also be read as the verifiable result of a human equation?

Law · logic · language
II

A general theory of market law

An attempt to connect competition, consumer protection, innovation, and intellectual property in a shared architecture developed from Latin America.

Houses and communities

The profession also has an origin and a present.

The path included important workshops—Baker McKenzie and OlarteMoure among them—but this map is not a résumé. Rosario remains the origin; ClarkeModet, the present home; and legal communities, places where learning also means giving back.

The origin

Universidad del Rosario

The courtyard, the tradition, and my first intellectual home. There, knowledge acquired memory and law became a responsibility toward the community.

The community

Colegio de Abogados Rosaristas · ICDP

Two ways of keeping the bond between university, profession, and service alive: conversation among colleagues and rigorous study of procedural law as a democratic practice.

The present

ClarkeModet

A time for leading and connecting people, countries, and cultures; turning individual experience into shared capability and knowledge into value with purpose.

A door to intimacy

The personal is not on display. It is recognized.

Public agenda

Upcoming conversations

In the coming days, two engagements connect innovation, leadership, artificial intelligence, and intellectual property.

Now

What occupies my table and attention.

July 2026 · a deliberately provisional picture.

  1. 01Write with greater clarity and less haste.
  2. 02Build teams that multiply judgment, not dependence.
  3. 03Think of innovation as culture, capability, and a national project.
  4. 04Defend the freedom that creates, contradicts, and asks no permission.

The person behind the notebook

A life does not fit inside a profession.

I am a lawyer, business leader, professor, and persistent learner. My work lies at the intersection of strategy, innovation, intellectual property, markets, and dispute resolution. This space is not a showcase of services; it is where those experiences converse with my curiosities, doubts, and idea of the future.

I live in Medellín, think across languages, and work with people from different cultures. Home, friendship, and eros remind me that no life can be explained by profession alone. I believe knowledge acquires real meaning when it helps others build something that can outlast them.
